Course overview
March 1-2, 2025 - Learn to evaluate and manage chronic dizziness, atypical central and concussion disorders in this advanced vestibular course.

Participants will explore the latest research and trends for adolescents and adults experiencing prolonged visual, vestibular and sensory complaints as a result of concussion.

Special attention to classifying symptoms due to cervical impairments, vestibular dysfunction and exertion limitations will be specified.

A comprehensive examination and treatment plan as it relates to concussion, dizziness, headache and whiplash associated disorders will be taught within the framework of a multidisciplinary-team approach. ​

Meet the instructor
Dr. Mickey Shah is a distinguished clinician, educator, and researcher with over 20 years of experience in the field of physical therapy. He is double board-certified in Neurology and Orthopedics and holds advanced certifications, including Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT) and Diplomate in Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy (Dip.MDT). Dr. Shah specializes in managing complex conditions, including concussions, vestibular dysfunctions, chronic pain, and somatosensory disorders.

Dr. Shah has been awarded a prestigious $1.3 million AFX grant to develop innovative testing and training protocols for spatial disorientation in airmen using Virtual Reality. His ongoing research focuses on enhancing vestibular performance, addressing whiplash-associated disorders, and understanding somatosensory dysfunction in high-demand populations.

As a national and international lecturer, Dr. Shah has dedicated his career to advancing clinical practice in concussion management, vestibular rehabilitation, and orthopedic care. His expertise encompasses neuro-cognitive and vestibular assessments, cervical spine evaluation, return-to-sport protocols, and the management of psychological factors such as anxiety, migraines, and sleep disturbances.

In addition to his clinical practice and research, Dr. Shah is a passionate educator, teaching at the university level and leading professional development courses for healthcare providers. His evidence-based and hands-on teaching approach empowers clinicians to deliver exceptional, individualized care to patients with complex conditions.
